Hedge and Howell is an acoustic duo comprised of singer/songwriters Heather "Hedge" Jackson and Ashley Howell.

Blending vocal harmonies over an eclectic mix of original music and covers, these two songbirds collectively capture the essence of acoustic soul-jazz-blues-folk-rock and blend it into something completely new and intriguing.

Hedge and Howell's musical influences include Adele, Shawn Colvin, Regina Spektor, Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, Indigo Girls, Patty Griffin, U2, Sting, Ray Charles and Fleetwood Mac, among others.

Heather "Hedge" Jackson
Learned to play guitar while growing up in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Education Degree in 2004 and works with special education students. In addition to finding an outlet for her musical passions, Hedge enjoys painting, commercial design, writing poetry, creating pottery, and mastering the occasional marathon.

Ashley Howell
Perfected her stage presence at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, where she and Hedge met and began singing together in the Touring Ensemble. But her singing experience began long before then. Howell, who grew up in Houston, Texas, began singing at the age of 4 and started writing poetry and lyrics by age 12. The songs that Ashley writes take advantage of the duo's exceptional vocal range and are inpired by life, love and laughter. In addition to stunning vocals, Ashley is the band's business manager and promoter. Aside from music, Ashley is also following her passion for holistic/natural living at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and will become a Certified Health Coach in 2012.
